Looking for an imaginative, nurturing event for your students?

Building Practice Plush buddies allows students to customize a toy that brings joy and a positive sense of belonging as a musician.

Students choose their new practice friend and accessories, then record a short solo on a voice recorder box that is placed inside the plush.

After the recording is placed inside the plush, students may play it back to celebrate their own progress and share it with their friends and family.

Each plush toy comes with a musical heart to place inside as they stuff the toy and an adoption certificate to name their new friend.

Magnets are included in both the plush animal and the plush instrument to allow the child to pose the plush animal. This interactive feature encourages imaginative play, fostering practice and performing together with the plush.

Incorporate nurturing electives like music story time and small group plush solo recitals.

A calm reading space allows students to bond with their plush through imaginative play and gentle care while increasing literacy skills and independent learning. Reading to their plush can help foster emotional development, creativity, and a lifelong love of reading.

Building confidence to play in a solo recital takes practice. What better way than to let the plush animal act out the stage entry, bow, and performance. Students can move and pose the plush toy and then play their pre-recorded song during their turn. After each plush animal has had a turn, students can repeat the performance themselves with the plush in the audience. Repetition brings predictability and enjoyment to performing. Teddy Bear Picnic

The North Carolina Symphony summer concert series encourages audience members to enter the picnic of the night contest. Perhaps a similar outdoor concert series is happening near your studio.

While adults bring folding tables, table cloths, flower bouquets, and elaborate dishes, students loved adding a playful bear-themed picnic setup to the evening. Not just any stuffed bears- all musical plush with plush instruments. Not only did the children win the contest, they met dozens of staff & board members, the conductor, and musicians.

Creating a future generation of music lovers spans beyond learning to perform an instrument. Belonging is key. Children feel welcome when the space allows creativity and play.
